A showcase box depicting the Infant Jesus in wax, dressed in lace and silk. He rests on a bed in brocaded fabric with floral decoration highlighted by silver thread passementerie and framed by cream silk curtains. The back and sides feature geometric decor framed by curtains. The outside of the box is lined with antique wallpaper. Typical Carmel de Beaune work. Late 18th-early 19th century, 21 x 26 x 13 cm (accidents and missing parts).
