Salvador Dali (1904-1989) illustrates William Shakespeare (1564-1616) Hamlet. Color etchings by Salvador Dali Editions d'art Les Heures Claires, 19 rue Bonaparte, Paris (engraved in 1973 - color printing by Manuel Robbe completed in 1974). Very large folio (Height 570 Width 405 mm). Publisher's red cover and slipcase. Complete suite of ten color etchings by Salvador Dali, preceded by six pages in English and French for the title, list of etchings and printing date. The etchings are enhanced with gold powder applications, stamped with the artist's dry stamp and signed by him in pencil. They are presented in folded flat sheets bearing the title of the plate in English and French. Only 145 copies were printed, all on Grand Arches paper. All prints bear the justification 96/145. They measure approximately 385 x 285 mm "à la cuvette". Each print is accompanied by a certificate. A little rubbing on the slipcase, but a fine copy.
